Amazfit Helio Strap Pro Launched — Two Sensors That Track What Your Smartwatch Can't
19 Jun 2026

Xiaomi drops the 17T in India at ₹59,999 — packing a Leica co-engineered triple camera with segment's only 5x periscope zoom, 120x AI Ultra Zoom, a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 67W charging, MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra, and a 3500-nit 12-bit AMOLED. Available now on mi.com.
Xiaomi has officially launched the 17T in India, and at ₹59,999, this is the brand's most aggressive play in the upper mid-range segment in a while. Leica cameras, a 5x periscope zoom that no one else in this price bracket offers, a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, and the Dimensity 8500-Ultra — all packed into a 6.59-inch phone that's genuinely compact by 2026 standards.
Here's everything you need to know.
The Xiaomi 17T starts at ₹59,999 (MRP ₹84,999) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. A 12GB + 512GB option is also available. Three colours on offer: Blue, Violet, and Black.
Available now on Amazon. Bank offers are aggressive too — flat ₹5,000 off on SBI, ICICI, and HDFC credit card EMI. Exchange bonuses and Mi Points are part of the deal as well.

Check Latest Price on AmazonThis is the part Xiaomi is betting on. The 17T is co-engineered with Leica, and the camera setup is genuinely impressive for the price.
The main shooter is a 50MP sensor (Light Fusion 800) at 23mm with an f/1.7 aperture, OIS, and a Leica Summilux 1G+6P hybrid lens. The 1/1.55-inch sensor with 2.0μm pixel binning pulls in a lot of light, especially in darker conditions.
The headline feature though is the 50MP 5x periscope telephoto at 115mm — Xiaomi claims it's the only one in this segment. It supports Leica Portrait and Master Portrait modes, OIS, and goes up to 120x AI Ultra Zoom. There's even telemacro capability with a 30cm minimum focus distance.
Rounding things out is a 12MP ultra-wide at 15mm (f/2.2) and a 32MP front camera with intelligent HDR and auto-framing.
On the video side, you get 4K at 60fps with HDR10+, video anti-shake, 4K night video, and cinematic portrait video. Leica Live Moments captures motion in still photos — think Apple's Live Photos but with Leica's colour science applied.
Other camera features include Leica Filters, Telephoto Stage Mode (built for concerts), auto scene detection, and direct sharing to Instagram and WhatsApp.
The 17T runs a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display at 120Hz with 480Hz touch sampling. Peak brightness hits 3500 nits — readable in direct sunlight without squinting.
The 12-bit panel renders 68 billion colours and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Bezels are just 1.5mm, which keeps the front looking clean.
Xiaomi uses their custom M10 display glass along with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on both front and back for scratch and drop protection. The EyeCare Shield system carries four TÜV Rheinland certifications — low blue light, flicker-free, circadian-friendly, and intelligent eye care. Whether those certifications mean much in daily use is debatable, but the hardware-level blue light filtering is a genuine feature for late-night scrollers.

Under the hood sits the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra, a 4nm chip clocked at 3.4GHz. Xiaomi claims over 2 million on AnTuTu, which puts it comfortably in flagship territory without the flagship price. Paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM, multitasking and app-switching should be snappy.
To keep thermals in check during gaming and heavy workloads, Xiaomi uses their 3D Iceloop Cooling system. The idea is sustained performance without the throttling that plagues thinner phones — we'll see how it holds up in real-world use.
The 17T packs a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery with 16% silicon content. Silicon-carbon tech means more energy density in less physical space — the battery is bigger than most flagships without making the phone a brick.
Xiaomi promises ≥80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, which is roughly 4+ years of daily charging. The Surge G2 battery management system handles charging intelligence.
Charging tops out at 67W wired through Xiaomi HyperCharge. There's also 22.5W reverse wired charging if you need to top up earbuds or another phone in a pinch. No wireless charging at this price — that's likely reserved for the flagship Xiaomi 15 series.
The 17T ships with Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0, which Xiaomi describes as an intelligence layer connecting your phone, home, and car. It's powered by HyperAI in partnership with Google Gemini.
Built-in AI features include AI Writing (generates text for social posts), AI Speech Recognition (real-time transcription), AI Search (searches across gallery, notes, files, and recordings), and AI Dynamic Wallpapers.
Xiaomi has fitted the 17T with T1+/T1S dual-chip signal processing for stronger network reception in crowded or low-signal areas. Call quality gets a boost through dedicated optimisation, and Wi-Fi stability is augmented at the hardware level.
There's also an offline communication feature that lets you stay in touch even when you're off-grid — useful for trekking or areas with patchy coverage.
At 6.59 inches, the 17T is noticeably more compact than the 6.7–6.8 inch phones that dominate this price range. Xiaomi calls it a "flagship compact size" — built for one-handed use without compromising on screen real estate.
The design language features what Xiaomi calls a Golden Arc shape with a Metallic Deco camera module and micro-curved frame. IP68 water and dust resistance rounds off the build quality. Three finishes available — Blue is the cleanest, Violet has a more premium feel, and Black keeps things understated.

At ₹59,999 (effectively ₹54,999 with bank offers), the Xiaomi 17T brings a few things to this segment that others simply don't — a real 5x optical periscope zoom with Leica tuning, a 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, and a display that peaks at 3500 nits. The Dimensity 8500-Ultra is no slouch either.
The competition at this price includes the OnePlus 13R, iQOO Neo 10 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy A56 — none of which match the 17T's camera zoom range or battery capacity. If photography and battery life are your priorities, this is worth a serious look.
